Free enrolment in Careerforce cleaning programmes

There are presently no enrolment fees for workplaces wishing to place staff into Careerforce cleaning and business programmes.

The NZ Certificate in Cleaning (Levels 2 and 3) are covered by the Government’s Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund (TTAF).  This training funding is available until December 2022.  The Government’s decision to fund cleaning qualifications reflects the workforce challenges the cleaning sector currently faces, and the value of having professionally trained staff.

Gary Singh, owner of The Clean Crew, says “An organisation is only as good as its team members.  Each Clean Crew member is NZQA trained so that we can deliver professional top-notch cleaning services for all our customers.” Gary can attest to the high standards of cleaning and service improvements that result from staff completing Careerforce training programmes.  Cleaners gain the skills needed to achieve nationally recognised cleaning qualifications.

Included in the fees-free options, Careerforce offers Level 3 programmes in specialist areas like healthcare facilities cleaning, carpet and textiles, contagion and specialised infection control, hard floor surfaces, food production and high-risk environments.  It also offers a cleaning programme in supervision, for staff wishing to gain the skills and knowledge to lead a team.

To support staff in management roles, Careerforce also offers a Business Level 5 programme. Although business programmes do not qualify for TTAF, Careerforce has made the decision to waive enrolment fees for the NZ Diploma in Business (Leadership and Management) Level 5, for all enrolments up until 31 December 2021.

Careerforce is the Industry Training Organisation for the cleaning sector, supporting employers to deliver workplace-based training. Contact Careerforce for more information.
