The ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo Australia is accepting speaker submissions for the event’s remaining education sessions.
Run in partnership with ISSA and Interpoint Events, the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo is the leading commercial cleaning trade event in Australia.
This year the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo will take place on 23-24 October 2019 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).
The event will house two simultaneous speaker theatres – the ISSA Speaker Theatre and the SRCP (Specialised Restoration & Cleaning Professionals) Speaker Theatre. In total there will be 28 education sessions taking place over the two-day event.
The ISSA Speaker Theatre will focus on the general cleaning, health, and sanitation industry, while the SRCP Speaker Theatre will centre on carpet care, remediation and restoration. A dedicated ISSA Carpet and Restoration Wing will also be featured.
“This year we have put together a diverse array of topics for attendees, however we have left a few remaining speaker positions available for last minute abstracts from the market,” Lauren Micallef, Oceania manager – ISSA said.

- Education
- Technology
- Industry trends
- Technical topics
- Business topics
In 2018 the show reported a 24 per cent increase in attendance compared to 2017, drawing visitors from 16 countries, with 80 per cent of delegates responsible for making or influencing purchasing decisions.
Countries represented included Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Netherlands, Germany and China.
This year’s expo is on track to sell out this year, with more than 70 per cent of exhibitor space already sold.
“The 2018 show in Sydney was a tremendous success – the show was a ‘buzz’ of activity and excitement,” Micallef said.
“It received incredibly positive feedback and experienced attendee growth of over 24 per cent – and this trend is only set to continue.”
The ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo will be co-located with Waste Expo Australia – the largest and most comprehensive free-to-attend conference and exhibition for the waste management, resource recovery and wastewater treatment sectors.
Waste Expo Australia attracts more than 4000 visitors who will be able to attend the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo.
