Registration is now open for the IICRC Rug Cleaning Technician Course to be held in conjunction with the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo.
The four-day course will be led by US-based Aaron Groseclose, former president of MasterBlend, a Colorado-based manufacturer of rug and carpet cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Groseclose is a senior carpet inspector, master textile cleaner, and certified rug specialist, who has developed carpet, upholstery, and oriental rug cleaning seminars in the United States, Europe and Asia.
He is also the co-developer of the Master Rug Cleaner Program and the co-author of A Comprehensive Guide to Oriental and Specialty Rug Cleaning.
The course will cover; construction of oriental rugs, identification of rugs, pre-cleaning inspection, how to set up a mini plant, fringe cleaning and dye bleed correction.
The final day will involve practical training at Jumbuck Cleaning and Restoration facility. The course also includes a two-hour exam.
Run in partnership with ISSA and Interpoint Events, the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo is the industry’s leading trade event.
This year’s event will be held on 23-24 October 2019 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) and is on track to sell out, with more than 70 per cent of exhibitor space already sold.
In 2018 the show reported a 24 per cent increase in attendance compared to 2017, drawing visitors from 16 countries, with 80 per cent of delegates responsible for making or influencing purchasing decisions. Countries represented included Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Netherlands, Germany and China.
This year the expo will house two simultaneous speaker theatres – the ISSA Speaker Theatre and the SRCP (Specialised Restoration & Cleaning Professionals) Speaker Theatre. In total there will be 28 education sessions taking place during the two-day event.
The ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo will be co-located with Waste Expo Australia – the largest and most comprehensive free-to-attend conference and exhibition for the waste management, resource recovery and wastewater treatment sectors.
Waste Expo Australia attracts more than 4000 visitors who will be able to attend the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo.
