Urban Maintenance Systems NZ (UMS) appoints former Treescape executive.

Urban Maintenance Systems NZ (UMS) has appointed former Treescape executive Malcolm Allan as country manager for its New Zealand operations.

As country manager, Allan is responsible for key client experience and driving growth. Allan’s previous roles include Chief Customer Officer of Treescape, GM of Markets and Growth at Spotless, GM of Sales & Marketing at OCS, Head of Business Development at Turners & Growers, and MD of PMP Limited.

UMS is an Australian-owned facilities maintenance and management services provider – which has operated in the New Zealand market since 2017. Today, the New Zealand office has 160 staff and holds a key facilities management contract with the Auckland Council.

As country manager, Allan has been tasked with growing the business and is responsible for all operational delivery in New Zealand.

“UMS is a fantastic success story, coming into the New Zealand market three years ago and growing a substantial company from scratch. I’m really looking forward to working with this exciting team,” says Malcolm.

Demara Jackson, CEO of UMS, said the team had been looking forward to having Malcolm at the helm of the NZ operations.

“With his extensive background in the facilities management sector and his strategic mindset, Malcolm will uplift the performance of the New Zealand business. We look forward to him building on the high quality, customer-centric service delivery that UMS is known for,” Jackson said.
