ISS wins Capital and Coast District Health Board contract

ISS Facility Services wins largest contract to date in New Zealand.

ISS Facility Services has won its largest contract in New Zealand since entering the marketplace in 2005, with Capital & Coast District Health Board (CCDHB).

The contract will come into effect in December 2019, directly employing around 250 new ISS team members.

Located in Wellington, CCDHB is the country’s sixth largest District Health Board serving the wider Wellington region and providing some specialist services for the lower North and upper South Islands.

Under the new contract, ISS will provide cleaning, internal waste management, pest control services and washroom supplies to Wellington Regional Hospital, Kenepuru Community Hospital, Ratonga Rua o Porirua, Kapiti Medical Centre and community sites.

ISS NZ chief operating officer Paul Archer said ISS is delighted to partner with CCDHB.

“Over the next five years, we will commit to driving innovations and continuous improvements that ultimately result in enhancing hospital operations and the patient experience,” he said. “ISS looks forward to helping CCDHB achieve their Vision and providing excellent healthcare for the people of Wellington.”

ISS provides non-clinical support services to more than 40 hospitals across the Pacific and more than 300 hospitals worldwide. ISS has serviced 17 hospitals and associated healthcare facilities in New Zealand, encompassing other major District Health Boards such as West Coast DHB and Southern DHB.
