BSCNZ announces board changes

BSCNZ appoints new board vice president.

The Building Service Contractors Association of New Zealand (BSCNZ) has announced the appointment of Ian Kebbell as the board’s new national vice president.

Kebbell is owner and managing director of Wellington-based cleaning company, Supercare.

Supercare provides cleaning services to a wide range of local businesses and government departments, schools and tertiary institutions, offices, and specialist facilities across  Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Whakatane, Hastings, Manawatu, Wairarapa and Christchurch.

Last year Supercare expanded its service offering with the launch of two new business divisions: Systemcare and Peoplecare.

Systemcare offers data centre cleaning services such as sub-floor, above-floor, internal server rack, and high- rise fixture cleaning.

Peoplecare is an on-site health screening service. Through its purpose-built mobile clinic, trained technicians provide workplace health monitoring such as hearing tests and lung function tests.

Commenting on his appointment Kebbell said: “As an SME in the cleaning industry it is an honour to have the confidence of the national council and CEO to hold this position, For any industry to be successful, it needs a variety of views that best represents the full make up of its members.

“I see my role as being a voice for the privately-owned cleaning service providers working alongside the major corporates collaboratively to facilitate the direction that best serves all BSCNZ members and to some extent the greater industry.”

Paul Emery, director of ToTal Property Services (Canterbury), remains president of the board.

Sarah McBride, CEO of the BSCNZ, said: “On behalf of the council and BSCNZ members I want to take the opportunity to thank both Paul and Ian for their continued commitment to our industry. I also want to personally thank every council member for their contribution and ongoing commitment to raise the standard and be the voice of our industry.”
