Bidvest acquires Consolidated Property Services

Acquisition set to double the group's facilities management footprint in Australia.

South African industrial group Bidvest has acquired Consolidated Property Services (CPS) from its private shareholders, with the acquisition set to double the group’s facilities management footprint in Australia.

The acquisition of CPS follows the purchase of Sydney-based BIC Services by Bidvest in July last year.

Established in 1977, CPS is a provider of integrated property services to more than 145 sites across Victoria, New South Wales, and South Australia, and employs almost 3500 people.

The Melbourne-based service provider’s core cleaning services are focused commercial and retail customers and is complemented by technical, hygiene and waste management services.

BIC, which is head quartered in Sydney and operates across Australia, was established in 1989 and is a leading provider of niche integrated facilities management services across office, commercial and education sites.
