The long-awaited ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo has returned to Melbourne, giving the industry the opportunity to come together for two days of education, networking, and business building.
Held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the free-to-attend event is the only show in the southern hemisphere dedicated to the cleaning and hygiene industry.
Featuring more than 90 local and international exhibitors, the expo welcomed business owners, suppliers, facility managers, purchasing officers, and building service contractors.
“We have been thrilled to the industry gather in Melbourne for the first time in more than four years,” said Lauren Micallef, ISSA Oceania manager.
“There has been something for everyone at the event from education seminars, training workshops, and networking opportunities. Exhibitors have also raised the bar this year, with their products, services, and stands on display.
“Feedback from exhibitors from day one of the has been incredibly positive.”
Day one of the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo included an extensive education program with free to attend speaker sessions, and onsite workshops.
Panelist discussions included the latest advancements in hygiene science; the role of robotics and AI; the future of sustainability for the cleaning industry; and workplace safety.
Labour Hire Licensing Commissioner, Steve Dargavel, also presented on businesses’ obligations under the licensing scheme, and provided an overview of recent compliance and enforcement activities by Victoria’s Labour Hire Authority (LHA).
More broadly, the education program ensured visitors from all areas of the cleaning and hygiene industry received practical advice from industry experts.
Day one concluded with the INCLEAN Excellence Awards. The INCLEAN Excellence Awards seek to distinguish and showcase innovative and progressive products and services within the cleaning industry.
